Inspirations

My Teachers and Inspirers

I’m here because I was smart enough to lean in on scary, sometimes hard, personal growth work. That includes my willingness to engage in joyful play experiences that helped me know me better. Below are some of the experiences that I found helpful.

Perhaps some of these experiences would be beneficial to you. (these are in no particular order)

  • Adrienne Maree Brown– Pleasure Activism and Emergent Strategy, which leads to me needing to know…
  • Octavia E. Butler – ALL of their work, but I’m particularly leaned in to the character Lauren Oya Olamina from the “Earthseed” series (Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents)
  • Pema Chodron (Getting Stuck, on Audible, really helped me know what to hold and what to release)
  • Thich Nhat Hanh (The Art of Communication, also on Audible, has seeped into my cells at this point)
  • Undefended Love (a daily [practice, really)
  • Wild Earth Intensive (WEI)
  • Do Good Things With Power
  • Come Back To Love
  • The Body Sacred
  • Tenzin Palmo (Cave in the Snow opened me to new possibilities in my own life)
  • RA Manifesto
